Widening Boots Narrowing Boots Shortening Boots
Widening Boots:
Step 1: Email info@bootalterations.com with a few pictures of your boots, while wearing them from different angles. Please let us know the State or Province you are located in. As soon as you receive a “Confirmation Email” you may proceed to the next steps.
Step 2: Please print this Boot Measurement Page. Record your information in the first section. Measure the circumference of the widest part of your calves (while wearing the boots) and record it in Part 7 “widest part calf.” Zip your boots up as high as you comfortably can and with a sticker, chalk or tape, indicate this spot. Please do this for both legs. Record it as Left=’X’cm and Right=’X’cm. You may view THIS video for visual instructions.
Step 3: Insert the following into a box or bag:
- Boot Measurement Page
- Your boots / shoes
- PayPal receipt
Step 4: Ship the box/bag to Leon’s Boot Alterations – address below.
If shipping from the USA or abroad (not Canada), please advise the shipping agent (Fedex, USPS etc.) to attach a ‘Commercial Invoice’ and in the description to add that the “Used Boots / Shoes are for repair & return.” They can use HS Code 9993.00.00.

Step 5: As soon as we receive your shipment, we will complete the alterations within three to five business days and ship your boots back to your specified address.
Narrowing Boots:
Step 1: Email info@bootalterations.com with a few pictures of your boots, while wearing them from different angles. Please let us know the State or Province that you are located in and the material of the boots if known. As soon as you receive a “Confirmation Email” you may proceed to the next steps.
Step 2: Please follow the instruction in THIS VIDEO to make your measurements.
Step 3: Insert the following into a box or bag:
- Your boots
- PayPal receipt
Step 4: Ship the box/bag to Leon’s Boot Alterations – address below.
If shipping from the USA or abroad (not Canada), please advise the shipping agent (Fedex, USPS etc.) to attach a ‘Commercial Invoice’ and in the description to add that the “Used Boots / Shoes are for repair & return.” They can use HS Code 9993.00.00.

Shortening Boots (Stand Alone):
Step 1: Email info@bootalterations.com with a few pictures of your boots, preferably while wearing them from different angles. Please let us know the State or Province that you are located in and how much you would like to shorten your boots by (in centimeters or inches). As soon as you receive a “Confirmation Email” you may proceed to the next steps.
Step 2: Insert the following into a box or bag:
- Your boots
- PayPal receipt – Select “Shorten Boots – Stand Alone” if that is the only chosen service or “Shorten Boots – Add On” if its an additional service to a narrowing or widening.
Step 3: Ship the box/bag to Leon’s Boot Alterations – address below.
